Notice on Holding 2026 Annual Conference & Technical Exchange Meeting of the Investigation and Surveying Professional Committee of China Dredging Association

To all relevant entities,

Nowadays, digital twin river basins, smart water transportation and green dredging have become mainstream development trends for water‑related industries. Technologies including underwater surveying‑mapping, underwater BIM, GIS application and digital dredging management have been widely implemented. To deepen innovative application of dredging investigation and surveying technologies and implement the annual work plan of China Dredging Association, it is resolved to hold the 2026 Annual Conference & Technical Exchange Meeting of the Investigation and Surveying Professional Committee.

This event serves as the annual summary session for the Professional Committee. Meanwhile, it constitutes a key initiative to empower digital‑intelligent transformation of water‑related projects, unify industrial technical specifications, accelerate transformation of technical achievements, upgrade digital construction capacity and expand promotion channels for domestic‑manufactured equipment. Relevant matters are notified as follows.

I. Conference Information

(1) Conference Theme

Digitally‑Empowered Dredging, Intelligent Surveying for Water‑environment Protection — Innovative Practices of Smart Investigation‑Surveying and Digital Transformation for Dredging

1. Technical principals from competent authorities of transport, water conservancy, environment, and survey‑investigation & design institutes;
2. Technical backbones engaging in investigation‑surveying and digital business from dredging, port‑waterway, environmental protection and water conservancy construction enterprises;
3. Representatives from R&D and manufacturing enterprises of multi‑beam systems, unmanned survey vessels, underwater detection equipment and digital software;
4. Experts and scholars from universities and research institutes (majors in surveying‑mapping, oceanography, water conservancy);
5. Representatives of member units of China Dredging Association and committee member units of the Investigation and Surveying Professional Committee.

II. Main Contents

(1) Annual Session of the Investigation and Surveying Professional Committee

1. Report the 2026 work performance of the Professional Committee. In compliance with the association’s annual assessment requirements, arrange key tasks for the next phase.
2. Review the annual promotion plan for compiling association group standards.
3. Study special topics including addition of committee member units and arrangement of industry exchange activities.
4. Convey the latest requirements for branch management of the association, and arrange work for compliant operation.

(2) Technical Exchange & Seminar

1. Policy & Standard Interpretation: Interpret industrial policies for smart dredging and digital river basins, as well as group‑standard compilation plans and digital‑transformation orientation for dredging investigation‑surveying sector.
2. Technical Achievement Sharing: Cover themes such as intelligent water‑area surveying technologies, digital twin for dredging & intelligent construction control, digital monitoring for environmental‑friendly sediment removal, and innovative application of domestic underwater surveying‑mapping equipment.
3. Engineering Case Exchange: Share typical practical cases of river‑lake regulation in the Yangtze River, Dongting Lake, Xiangjiang River basins, as well as smart investigation‑surveying and dredging for coastal port waterways.
4. Interactive Seminar: Conduct exchanges on bottlenecks in integrated investigation‑surveying‑dredging implementation, industrial‑chain collaboration pathways, and industry promotion of domestic‑manufactured equipment.
