The Exchange Conference for Development of Surveying, Mapping and Geospatial Information Technology Equipment Application is a technical exchange event hosted by the Equipment Working Committee of China Geospatial Information Industry Association. Adhering to the tenet of “Leverage the strengths of industrial organizations and boost the development of geospatial information industry”, the conference builds an industry‑university‑research‑application exchange platform for R&D, manufacturing, distributors and end‑users of geospatial information equipment, so as to promote the popularization and application of new technologies, new equipment and new services. It has become a highly influential event within China’s geospatial‑information‑equipment sector.
Marking the kick‑off year of the 15th Five‑Year Plan, surveying‑mapping and geospatial‑information equipment serves as the core pillar of national spatial information infrastructure, undertaking fundamental and pioneering strategic missions. At present, the construction of 3D Real‑Scene China has entered a new phase featuring above‑underground, land‑sea‑integrated, 2D‑3D integrated development. Technologies including Artificial Intelligence, BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, LiDAR and UAVs are accelerating cross‑sector integration. Applications of surveying‑mapping equipment have expanded to diverse fields such as low‑altitude economy, refined natural‑resource governance, high‑precision maps for intelligent connected vehicles, ecological restoration, smart agriculture and digital cultural tourism. Nevertheless, prominent industry pain points remain, including inconsistent data standards, insufficient hardware‑software compatibility and barriers hampering the industrial implementation of intelligent technologies. This conference conducts in‑depth discussions on niche topics including interpretation of industrial policies & standards, AI‑empowered innovation of surveying‑mapping equipment, and field implementation of digital cultural tourism. Three core sessions are arranged: policy‑standard interpretation, achievement sharing of domestic surveying‑mapping equipment, and engineering‑practice case exchange. The policy session interprets industrial policies concerning real‑scene 3D construction, new‑type fundamental surveying‑mapping, natural‑resource investigation & monitoring, as well as development directions for group‑standard compilation planning and digital‑standardization of surveying‑mapping equipment. The technical session showcases innovative domestic surveying‑mapping equipment, including BeiDou high‑precision positioning devices, airborne / terrestrial 3D LiDAR, integrated UAV aerial survey systems, mobile real‑scene acquisition terminals and supporting GIS processing software. The case session presents typical practical applications of new‑generation surveying‑mapping equipment in real‑scene 3D urban construction, territorial‑spatial surveying‑mapping, natural‑resource right confirmation, urban‑rural planning surveying‑mapping and real‑estate investigation. It also highlights priority themes: large‑scale deployment of real‑scene 3D, supporting technologies for low‑altitude surveying‑mapping, and industrial promotion of domestic‑manufactured equipment. A precise docking platform for government‑enterprise‑university‑research‑application participants will be established to accelerate the transformation of cutting‑edge technological achievements, facilitate full‑industrial‑chain collaboration, and unlock the value of spatio‑temporal data elements. The self‑controllable, intelligently‑integrated surveying‑mapping‑equipment industry will underpin high‑quality development of digital economy and territorial spatial governance throughout the 15th Five‑Year Plan period.
The main forum will feature academician reports, as well as keynote speeches delivered by leading entrepreneurs interpreting market trends for geospatial information under new circumstances. Domestic enterprises in surveying‑mapping and geospatial information will present hot‑spot technologies, products and application cases. Parallel sessions focus on industry‑specific applications, covering smart water areas, emergency monitoring and other themes.
Leaders from provincial‑level competent authorities of natural resources and surveying‑mapping geospatial information; principals of provincial geospatial‑information associations / societies; executives and professionals from enterprises and public institutions; personnel from enterprises and institutions engaged in surveying‑mapping & geospatial information; suppliers, distributors and end‑users of geospatial‑information equipment; leaders, faculty and students of relevant universities.
